THE WOMEN ACCELERATOR WINDOW IV PITCH DAY: CELEBRATING OUR WINNERS!

We’re excited to celebrate the remarkable women-led businesses that emerged victorious at the Women Accelerator Window IV Pitch Day! This milestone event marks a significant step forward in empowering women entrepreneurs who are driving change within their communities.

Through Mkazipreneur, six exceptional businesses from across Uganda were selected to participate in the program. These businesses have demonstrated not only entrepreneurial excellence but also a deep commitment to creating lasting social and economic impact. With a focus on empowering other women and young people, their work extends far beyond profit—enriching lives and communities.

After successfully navigating a three-day pre-selection bootcamp and on-site due diligence visits, four businesses stood out with their innovation, resilience, and business acumen. Each has been awarded $20,000 in seed funding to scale their operations and deepen their community impact.

HERE ARE THE WINNERS:

  1. Mama Mucyara:

A mushroom-growing business committed to more than just delivering nutritious oyster mushrooms. Mama Mucyara also provides training to women and young people, equipping them with the skills to start their own mushroom farms—enhancing both food security and economic empowerment.

  1. Rinaha International Limited:

Rinaha is redefining agribusiness through innovation. By adding value to cherry tomatoes and avocados, they produce sought-after products like ketchup and avocado oil. This approach not only reduces post-harvest losses but also increases farmer incomes and promotes sustainable food systems.

  1. Sarami Agencies Limited:

Sarami Agencies manufactures oxide powders, reducing Uganda’s dependency on imported materials. By offering locally produced oxides, they support industrial growth and job creation while ensuring construction businesses have reliable, homegrown resources.

1.    House of Mama Natural Condiments Limited:

With a commitment to food safety and efficiency, this company produces aflatoxin-free peanut butter. In addition to offering a healthier product, House of Mama Natural Condiments empowers local farmers by providing them with a ready and fair market for their crops—strengthening agricultural value chains.

These businesses reflect the core values of the Women Accelerator Window IV—innovation, sustainability, and empowerment. Their dedication to creating positive change is an inspiration, and this seed funding will enable them to scale operations, expand their impact, and continue fostering economic inclusion for women and youth.

As they take the next steps in their entrepreneurial journeys, we celebrate their achievements and look forward to the transformative impact they will continue to make.

Congratulations once again to all the winners, this is just the beginning!
