In an initiative to promote digitalization of women-led businesses, our team participated in outreaches that took place in Buikwe district over a two-day period, courtesy of the 10X Program: Bold Women GO DIGITO.
The Program is being implemented by Outbox (U), UNCDF, Mkazipreneur in partnership with The Mastercard Foundation to equip young women with digital skills so as to thrive in the digital economy by having dignified jobs.
Over 350 women gathered and acquired training in adopting digitalization, digital literacy and the tools needed in digitalization so as to thrive in their businesses and in the digital economy.
Through live demonstrations, participants were engaged on how to use digital tools such as mobile phones while promoting their businesses and their products online.
This being a program promoting digitalization, a major setback was observed in the midst of reaching out to these ladies…unstable internet connection, especially in the community of Nakibole.
In an increasingly digital economic landscape, young women need support so as to navigate this growing integration into their businesses which emphasizes the fact that no one should be left behind.
